Development of Communication Skills
The Project:
This enquiry came from the individual itself, as it was difficult to express in oral and written communication with customers and partners. Through the meeting I recognized the weaknesses in communication skills and assertiveness.
The aim of the project was to uplift the communication skills and at the same time see an immediate change in daily communication at work.
Guidance Methodology:
- Recognition of communication style for oral and written communication
- Structured questions, in order to identify the exact way of thinking for communication skills
- A coaching program has been established to develop communication skills
- Design specific and measurable ways, techniques, tools and guidance in relation to the issues that needed improvement.
- Specific scenarios and techniques where explained and given to be implemented by the person at the workplace in order to come back to the meetings with feedback (the actions, the impact they had and what has noticeable changed) (what did he did, the impact it had and what would change) on communication issues
- Review of the effectiveness of each thematic module through structured questions during the meeting and from emails which he sent to customers /partners
Result:
After 10 meetings this person changed the way of communication (oral and written communication). The confidence in both oral communication with assertiveness techniques and in written communication. The communication transformed into positive and is able to recognize negative communication so as not to influence it and convert it.
