Do You want High Performers in your Business?
Learn to build performance based, mutually beneficial relationships with your people.
Here below are the 5 components / steps to do that:
1. Define clearly what is expected in terms of results in a specific, measurable and time bound.
2. Ensure that people have the resources necessary to achieve or exceed the above results.
3. Provide a framework of guidance, coaching, training where necessary and frequent feedback. Annual performance appraisals are not adequate.
4. Define and agree a reporting and accountability framework.
5. Define and agree consequences based on the outcome of results. There should be both positive (incentives) as well as negative consequences.
The above steps should be applied at recruitment and along the way of a person’s employment as well as every time you delegate work.
If you apply the above steps, then you will create a performance culture and you will equip your people with the ability to deliver results rather than excuses.
